Error codes can vary slightly by model year. What's below is what a code most commonly means on Samsung appliances — if your display shows something different, text us a photo and we'll tell you straight.
4E / 4C — Washers
Water supply error — the washer isn't filling fast enough.
Common causes
- A supply valve is only partly open
- Low household water pressure
- A kinked or blocked fill hose
What you can check
Check both supply valves are fully open and straighten any kinks in the fill hoses.

Door error — the door isn't detected as fully closed and locked.
Common causes
- The door isn't latched all the way
- Something caught in the door seal
- A door latch or lock fault
What you can check
Open and firmly close the door, and check nothing is caught in the door seal.

Unbalanced load detected during spin.
Common causes
- The load is small and bunched to one side
- The machine isn't sitting level
What you can check
Redistribute the load evenly and check the machine is level and stable on the floor.
