Sud / SUDS — Washers
Too many suds detected — the machine pauses the cycle to let them clear.
Common causes
- Regular (non-HE) detergent used in a high-efficiency machine
- Too much detergent for the load size
What you can check
Switch to a High-Efficiency (HE) detergent and use less than you'd think — modern washers need far less soap than older top-loaders did.

Door/lid error — the machine doesn't detect the door or lid as closed and locked.
Common causes
- The lid or door isn't fully closed
- A lid/door lock mechanism fault

Firmly close the lid or door and try again. If it keeps happening, this is a call.
