A diagnostic visit starts with the technician examining the appliance and identifying the actual problem — no guessing over the phone, and no repair work starts until you’ve agreed to it.
The process
- Schedule — book online, by text, or by phone
- Diagnose — the technician examines the appliance in person and identifies the problem
- Approve — you get a clear explanation and a price before anything else happens
- Repair — fixed on the spot if the part’s on hand, or as soon as it arrives
What the diagnostic fee covers
The fee below covers the visit and diagnosis. If you go ahead with the repair, it’s credited toward the total — you’re not paying for the visit twice.
What you can do to help
- Describe what the appliance is doing as specifically as you can when you book
- Clear a path to the appliance if it’s in a tight spot
- Have any relevant model information handy if you know it — though you don’t need it to book
When you’ll get a price
Never before the diagnosis. If parts need to be ordered, you’ll see the deposit terms and warranty coverage before anything is ordered — see our articles on pricing and warranty for the exact numbers.
